Matthew just lost one of his front teeth. It's been loose for a while and finally, yesterday, with the help of a fruit snack it fell out. Thankfully, Matthew is an old pro at losing his teeth, so he didn't freak out this time like he did the first time. But, he did get a paper towel and hold it on his tooth for about an hour "because it was bleeding". The other front tooth is loose too, so I'm sure it will follow suit here shortly. Also, as soon as Matthew lost his tooth, he lost it. We have no idea where it is. This morning, he found it again and then decided to play with it with Emily and then promptly lost it again. I explained to Matthew the economics of how the tooth fairy works. Unfortunately, she doesn't leave money unless she has a tooth. To which Matthew replied that he doesn't really care about money, because, "Mom, you don't really care about money, do you?" I'm sure it will show up in a day or two and this time, hopefully, he'll give it to me right away in stead of playing with it. Why would anyone play with a tooth anyway?

It is something new to play with and cool to look at. Kids play with the strangest things. What was your response when Matthew asked, "Mom, you don't really care about money do you?"
